Zovlet
Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Zovlet (“the Service”, “App”, “we”, “us”), available at https://zovlet.com, as an Android application, and as an iOS application (com.zovlet.app), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Signing in with Google constitutes acceptance of these terms. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of Service
Zovlet is a personal asset and document vault that helps you track assets and liabilities (for example property, bank accounts, investments, insurance, and loans), manage trusted members and sharing, store related documents, record cash flow, set goals, view insights and currency-separated portfolio statements, and draft a property will (executors, beneficiaries, and related instructions). Amounts may be recorded in different currencies you choose; the Service does not convert between currencies or provide exchange-rate advice. Your vault data is encrypted with a security key you control — even we cannot see, access, or share the contents. Optional features include SOS emergency alerts, biometric unlock on Android and iOS (fingerprint / Face ID / Touch ID), and two-factor authentication. The Service is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Not a Google product: Zovlet is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC. Google Sign-In is used for authentication; how vault storage works with Google APIs is described in Section 4 and the Privacy Policy.
Not legal or financial advice: Property-will tools, insights, and statements are organizational aids only. They do not create a legally binding will, estate plan, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction for legal, tax, or financial matters.
3. Your account and security
You must sign in with a valid Google account using Google Sign-In / OAuth 2.0 (web or native sign-in). You are responsible for:
- Keeping your Google account credentials and Zovlet security key confidential
- All activity under your Zovlet account and devices you authorize
- The accuracy of data you enter and whom you choose to share it with (including SOS and will contacts)
- Deciding whether to enable biometric unlock, 2FA, camera, photo library, or location permissions
- Complying with Google’s Terms of Service and applicable laws
You must not use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of third-party rights. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13 years of age, or the higher age required locally). If you lose your security key and have not retained a backup, we may be unable to recover encrypted vault contents.
4. Google Sign-In, Google Drive, and user data
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative disclosure of how we access, use, store, and share Google user data. In summary, for Google Auth / API compliance:
4.1 Permissions (OAuth scopes) we request
- Profile & email (
profile,email/ userinfo scopes): name, email address, and Google profile photo URL to create your account and display your profile. - Google Drive App files (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file): create and manage only files Zovlet creates or that you open with Zovlet (encrypted vault CSVs, attachments, optional key backup, related App files). We do not request access to your entire Drive. - OAuth tokens (including refresh tokens for offline access) needed to keep authentication and Drive sync working until you sign out or revoke access.
4.2 How we use that data
We use Google user data only to provide and improve Zovlet’s user-facing features: sign-in, syncing and displaying your vault, sharing you initiate, transactional notifications you request, and security/troubleshooting. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or targeted ads, provide it to data brokers, use it for credit/lending decisions, or use it to train generalized / non-personalized AI or ML models.
4.3 Storage, sharing, retention, and revocation
- Encrypted vault content is stored in your Google Drive; account/token data and optional uploaded profile photos may be stored on our servers as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We share data only as you direct (member sharing, SOS, will recipients), with Google as the API platform, with processors that help run the Service, or when legally required.
- You may revoke access at Google Account permissions and request deletion of account data we hold by emailing [email protected].
4.4 Limited Use affirmation
Zovlet’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You retain ownership of your data. By using the Service, you grant us the limited rights needed to operate it (including reading and writing your Zovlet Drive files and sending notifications you request).
5. Native apps, biometrics, and device permissions
On Android and iOS, you may enable biometric unlock so the App can store your security key in the device secure store (Keystore / Keychain) and unlock the vault with fingerprint, Face ID, or Touch ID when you open or resume the App. Biometrics stay on your device; we do not receive your fingerprint or face templates. You may also grant camera or photo-library access to attach images to documents, and location access when sending an SOS alert. You can revoke these permissions in system settings and disable biometric unlock in Profile at any time.
6. Third-party services
The Service uses Google for authentication (Google Sign-In / OAuth) and Google Drive for storage. Your use of those services is also subject to Google’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for Google’s availability, actions, or policies. Other processors (hosting, email delivery, database) may be used solely to operate the Service. Apple App Store and Google Play terms may also apply to distribution of the native apps.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other users, reverse engineer the App except where permitted by law, upload unlawful content, abuse Google APIs (including scraping undocumented endpoints), misuse SOS or sharing features to harass others, or use the Service to violate others’ privacy or intellectual property rights.
8. Intellectual property
Zovlet’s software, branding, and interface are owned by us or our licensors. You retain all rights to the content you create. Google’s trademarks remain Google’s property. You may not imply that Zovlet is a Google product or that Google endorses the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. ZOVLET IS NOT FINANCIAL, LEGAL, TAX, OR ESTATE-PLANNING ADVICE. PROPERTY-WILL AND STATEMENT FEATURES ARE INFORMATIONAL TOOLS ONLY.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE (AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE (INCLUDING ISSUES CAUSED BY GOOGLE ACCOUNT ACCESS, DRIVE AVAILABILITY, DEVICE BIOMETRICS, OR LOSS OF YOUR SECURITY KEY). OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY), OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may revoke Google access as described above. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or for operational or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Data already stored in your Google Drive remains in your control according to Google’s terms until you delete it.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the Service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or sale of assets.
